Are you ready to race?
May is Small Business Month in the USA and I hereby declare DelMoSports to be OPEN FOR BUSINESS in the summer of 2021! NO ONE is happier to keep moving forward more than us. Now more than ever we need your support to make the 2021 season safe and memorable.
Effective May 19th in the state of New Jersey, there will no longer be limits on outdoor gathering per Gov. Murphy. This is fantastic news for live events across the region, but I think more so for what we do. All we have ever wanted to do is give our athletes (YOU) a safe outlet to be healthy and our events exemplify how to do so.
The beautiful part about what we do... is where we do it. Let's take a look at our host venues and all they have to offer.
West Fairmont Park, Philadelphia, PA: The home of our Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa Women's Philadelphia Duathlon Presented by Inspira Health. Yes, we have switched to a Duathlon in 2021 (but don't worry, the triathlon will be back in 2022!) due to the lack of ability for our athletes to find the necessary pool time in order to train but that will not take away from a fantastic event. Did you know that we have over 250,000 square feet to use as our staging area for check in, bikes, start/finish lines, and viewing stations? There is NO SHORTAGE of fresh air in the park system as well as shaded areas to find relief from the sun. Surveys have shown MILLIONS of people took up running the cycling as hobbies this past year and there is no better way to showcase your fitness than a 1 mile run, 9 mile bike, and 5K run in beautiful West Fairmount Park on July 11th. 15th Street Beach, North Wildwood NJ: For the past 17 years, this 15th Street Beach has served as host to the Stampone O'Brien Dilsheimer Law Tri the Wildwoods Triathlon Presented by Inspira Health to take place on July 24, 2021. I think we can all agree; the beach serves as the premier location for all things fresh air. Yes, North Wildwood has seen its fair share of beach erosion, but the city is hard at work replenishing what it can, and we are certain we will have ample room for our athletes and spectators. Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ: Over 140 acres of ground to use for our Annual CRDA Atlantic City Triathlon Presented by Inspira Health. In short, social distancing WILL NOT be an issue here. TRI AC serves as the perfect test race if you are competing in IRONMAN 70.3 Atlantic City as much of what we do will be replicated for IM70.3AC only 5 weeks later. Register now for TRIAC HERE.
Ferry Terminal, Lower Township, NJ: When we look at the ferry terminal and its surrounding grounds, we realize just how lucky we are to live and produce world class races where we live. The Escape the Cape Triathlon Presented by Inspira Health is known around the world not only because we jump 12 feet off the Cape May-Lewes Ferry to start the race, but the gorgeous views along the bike and beach front run. New in 2021, in order to create the maximum space possible, we are moving our entire finish line to the beach by the West End Jetty; for the first time ever ETC will have a bayfront finish!
