It was amazing! So well run especially for it being the first! Thank you for showing off our beautiful city and for inspiring such feelings of community and excitement! There were women of all ages and shapes and we all had such a great time cheering each other on! Way to go ladies! Will definitely be back next year!

The race today was beyond my expectations! The crowd, the volunteers, the location - everything. As a first time triathlete, I was so nervous signing up for this but I was in the best hands: all i felt was encouragement and love and support from the race director to the staff who helped me learn to rack my bike to the volunteers who gave me water and so many others. DelMoSports is the best- I’ll be back next year!

I love this race. It's my 2nd and I was looking forward to it all year. The positive and supportive energy from Team DelMo and all of the volunteers is simply contagious. And it means a lot to any triathlete, especially to those starting out. I am a 1st year triathlete, relatively new to the sport, and can appreciate a well-run event. And DelMo races are top notch. What an amazing event! I was very nervous and the crew made everything so smooth and eased my nerves, as well as seeing the many friends and locals who were all so encouraging! I had a great time doing this event. It was my first time, but I look forward to returning annually. I especially appreciated all of the support staff – the lifeguards (very supportive in the water), the directional folks, and the water providers. All had a great sense of humor and were supportive throughout the event. Nice job!

You put on great races. I’d come even if you didn’t just to support you in the small way I can! But I’m sincere in my feedback. You are separating yourself from your peers in race promotion with your attention to detail. That is what matters. Any race that has the infrastructure to support both professional athletes and first timers is doing it right. Your race is unique and has taken a step forward each year I’ve participated. As you expand even further, I encourage you to stay true to your original philosophy and spirit as much as possible. When I look at other successful races that have grown and developed from something small, this underlying theme is consistent. Though they may have grown to be elaborate races, they retain their “grassroots” and community feel. This is why I like your race so much. It feels part of the town of Wildwood, and community support is apparent. Or…it feels as though the race is “for the community,” as opposed to being “for the race directors,” which is often the case in lesser races. I think St Anthony’s is a close example to your race. It is interwoven into the community, and is unique because of that nuance. The experience is more than the race itself. Many other races exist outside of the community, in venues that are removed from the community, without much involvement from the community. These races feel shallow and empty, and as racer, I’m left with an experience that is wholly defined by just the event and my performance. At St Anthony’s, I have had poor results but always come away having had a really enjoyable experience. Through your race, I have come to realize that Wildwood has a very strong and established community, and by participating in the race, I feel as though I’ve become a small part of it. That is HUGE! It’s like Ironman. You do one, and you’re part of the “club.” I sense that this is what is happening with your race, and it will extend to AC. DelmoSports races are a unique experience.

This was my second half and I really enjoyed the this one because all the volunteers were so nice to all the runners and being so encouraging to everyone in the race. I can't wait until next year. I am in for next year!

Tri the Wildwoods is a wonderful race if you’re joining the tri world for the first time. Relatively easy and very safe course. DelMoSports is ran by a very professional and kind group of people who took all anxieties I had leading up to the race away. Would highly recommended this race to anyone thinking about doing a triathlon!

This was one of the most fun and well-organized races I have ever run. Registration and packet pickup were painless; the tech tee was high quality and well-designed (one I will actually wear over and over!); the course was challenging, beautiful ad fun, all at the same time; the finish line experience was special (please let the emcee know that his efforts to read every finisher's name as they crossed the line meant a lot); and the post-run nutrition was plentiful. A special shout-out to the course volunteers whose energy and encouragement helped tremendously. I don't have a bad thing to say about this race. Looking forward to next year already!

Excellent event and well organized. Great course and loads of entertainment while running along the AC boardwalk. I also recommend this race for those thinking about taking the leap from a Sprint distance to an Olympic distance. Nice, fast and flat course.

FUN!!! Challenging time as a 1st time triathlon competitor... by far the swim was the toughest part... I felt very safe after the jump lots of lifeguards and it was a straight shot to the end of swim leg... don't let your fears hold you back the other athletes were absolutely amazing! Have some fun step outside of your comfort zone!

I gotta tell you, every time I wear my escape the cape shirt (which is as often as I can!) someone in the community comes up to me and says “did you do that?! did you jump off the ferry?!

There are only a few races where you get to jump off a boat to start your triathlon day. Among them are the legendary Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon and the Norseman in Norway. This past weekend 1208 athletes jumped from near Cape May, NJ to challenge themselves in the Escape the Cape Triathlon and we surely noticed.

This was my second time participating. Great venue, great people, well organized, and a truly exciting experience. Can’t wait for next year’s event.

Third year in a row doing this race, the Olympic distance. The best organized and run event. Steve is continuously tweaking and improving this race. The diversity of this race makes it amazing from the boat jump, to the flat and fast bike to the dune sucking run. It’s great. Oh, and Cape May is an amazing destination too. Race is flat. Venue is clean and accessible. Race Director is a blast. Volunteers are friendly. Neighborhoods are accommodating. The ferry jump is unforgettable.

DelMo knows how to do it! The organization, communication and logistics for athletes AND spectators is top notch!

I still consider this the best half marathon in New Jersey. Well organized, a fun race and the best after party. Done it four straight years and will be back next year.

I have done Tri AC Olympic Distance a couple times in recent years, and it is one of my favorites. DelMo knows how to put on an event. Swimming in the Back Bay is awesome, and well-supported by an armada of lifeguards on boards. Fast and flat bike and run courses. Great ocean views. Optional camping on Bader Field right at the start. What more can you ask for?

This is a great race! Who doesn't love swimming in the ocean and running on the beach! Well organized. Lots of encouragement and team spirit. The atmosphere is casual, low keyed and fun. Loved watching and encouraging the little triathletes.

It’s a lot of fun and while the ocean swim may be intimidating for beginners, IT IS a good place for beginners to do this. One of my favorite triathlons by DelMoSports.

This was my first time running this race and I loved it! The start was organized and on time, the course was beautiful, the volunteers were encouraging and appeared excited to be there, and the finish line party area was great! The tech shirt is actually wearable and the pier tickets made for a fun weekend!

Nothing but great things to say about the race today! steve, your commical relief is exactly what i needed before and after my first tri!

So well-organized with so much helpful information in the days leading up to the race, answering every question big and small for all of us beginners. Such an encouraging and empowering environment was created and I felt such camaraderie with all of the women around me and felt so supported throughout. I CANNOT wait to do this race again next year. Congratulations on a very very well organized and one of the most well communicated/supported races I have participated in over my 30 years of racing. You also attracted a very high quality field of competitors from the local area. Bruckner was an awesome asset along with the sports psych on the boat to ease the minds of the swimmers.

This was a great event! I can’t say enough about the organization, event staff and volunteers! This was my first competitive event ever and the helpfulness, courteousness, and encouragement displayed by staff and volunteers alike was overwhelming! The venue is beautiful! My husband who is an avid competitor was blown away by the organization! I can’t wait to participate again!

Congrats on a job well done. And thank you for finding me in the crowd for the Cadence treat. I should tell you, however, that I wound up giving it away to someone else. The woman who won the aero helmet told me that the helmet was going into a raffle basket to raise money for breast cancer. I gave my Cadence gift to them for the basket. Definitely a better use of it! I wanted you to know that your generosity towards me will in turn benefit many others. Enjoy the rest of your summer with your beautiful family!

It’s easy to see DelMoSports as the dominate shore tri series out there for so many amateurs getting into the sport. For all the newcomers to the ridiculously fast in this growing sport the past 5 years you really make them feel like rock stars, and that seems to be your goal.

This was my first time racing this event as an individual. Everything about the race is topshelf. From check-in to Awards Delmo does it right. I did the Olympic distance. I love the venue the support and all the amenities..... This race should be on your calendar next season.

I competed Saturday in the Wildwood tri. Great race.

My participation in the AC Triathlon was fun, safe and rewarding. My fellow athletes were supportive and the volunteers served us hand and foot. I couldn't have finished first in my age group without the support and guidance of the staff.

First time for both my husband and I running a half marathon and it was amazing experience!! Thanks to everyone involved in planning and pulling off such a well done event, especially all the amazing volunteers providing drinks, etc and police officers ensuring the Route was safe!

This was my first race, so I have little to which I can compare it. That said, I couldn't imagine a more professional experience, top to bottom. I had a lot on my mind, being a first timer and it went... swimmingly? Great job by everyone involved, from Steve, the DRBA, LTPD, all of the lifeguards and other safety personnel in the water, and all of the volunteers. GREAT GREAT GREAT event. Can't wait for next year.

I don’t think that I will do any other events. You really have it down to a science of how to run an event. I am really impressed with how you make the event so personal for everyone, and you make it your duty to see that everyone has a great time and an unforgettable experience.

Unique swim with a party atmosphere on the boat before you jump! Well organized, too. Will do every year that I can!

The music at the start / finish area at the convention center was a great way to get you pumped. The “Pacers” that ran the course to help runners keep their pace was a great idea, and also very friendly while carrying on conversations during the run. The 13.1 course was well marked and had plenty of water stations along the route. Hearing your name called at the finish line was cool. Thank you to the organizers and local PD who helped set the course and keep it closed for runners safety. See you next year.

A True Jersey Shore Triathlon! Sun, Sand, Wind, Waves and the fiercest competition will test all skill levels and make even a seasoned veteran a better triathlete.

The race organization, the live chats and the guide was the best prep ever. The volunteers were the most amazing, cheerful, kind and helpful ever. I struggled big time in the swim. I had a guard paddle next to me encouraging me the whole time. When I finally got out of the water I was greeted by a huge welcome from a volunteer who unzipped me and helped me pull my suit down to my waist. I never thanked her cause I could barely talk! The course was perfectly marked, The organization, the people, the tri community is amazing. I loved this race and would highly recommend it. So proud I finished.
