The Super Bowl has come and gone, and we are in the midst of a cold winter.
I love this time of year. This is the time when I know we are making headway even though race season is but a small dot in the universe of the 2022 calendar year. Our days have been jam-packed, filled with meetings, applications, appointments, site visits, virtual conferences, sponsorship talks, marketing ideas, equipment maintenance, storage clear outs, new equipment purchases, getting new certifications, upgrading systems, moving offices once again, fine tuning already proven methods, and for the first time ever we have a company handbook, so we are crystal clear on expectations for the team. Did you get all that?
For the first time in two years, we are heading into the Spring with boundless confidence on our racing season. The numbers look good, people. Escape is sold out. Women's Philly is on its way to selling out. TRI AC and TRI WW are WAY up from our best year in 2019, and our MudHen IPA 5K and Beer Mile are going to be the best party in all of road racing this spring. Crest Best Half Marathon is up exponentially as well, and we are expecting BIG numbers at our Crest Best Swim Fest and Poverty to Cove swims. Yes, things are looking BRIGHT for the 2022 racing season and the team is literally 'racing' to keep all systems in check to deliver for you.
In addition to our own events, DelMoPRO (the world class timing, equipment, and consulting sister to DelMoSports) is on pace for a banner year. So far, we're aligned with the following events and brands to support them with either timing, equipment, or both: Red Bull, Ironman 70.3, Rock N Roll Half Marathon Series, American Cancer Society, The Ben to Shore Bike Tour, NYRR, Love Run Half Marathon, New Jersey State Triathlon, Around the Cape Paddle, DC Bike Ride, April Fools Run, Atlantic City Marathon, Savannah Bridge Run, Savannah Women's Half Marathon, Broad Street Run, Philly Marathon, Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Miler, East Coast Triathlon Festival, timing support for the Houston and Boston Marathon, and the list keeps growing.
There is never a dull moment here in DelMoLand. Never. Just like you, we are constantly working to get better, be better, and do better because we know the moment we take any of this for granted is the moment we lose our edge. So, whenever you're wondering what could they possibly be doing on a cold February day so far removed from race season, just remember... we're doing the work.
